Where there is a tactician and a reliable performer, we all can count on a successive outcome. Observing the performance of last night match of Manchester City, we all can relate. As they have shown what they can do to retain their run towards the Premier League trophy.
After enjoying a full 7 days off, Manchester City faced Watford on the last night of 9th March. Man City played as the host against Watford. And it becomes a must win game when you have one of the most successful managers of all time behind you! It seems Raheem Sterling couldn’t get to hold his horses with such a cheer from the supporters.
He scored his 16th, 17th and 18th consecutive goals against Watford. This marvelous hat-trick was done within a 13-minute time frame! The time frame ranges from the after half 46-minutes to 59-minutes.
The first goal was given on 46th minute of the game. The referee gave a wrong decision at first. But after a few minutes, they changed the decisions and Sterling got to score the first goal of the match. The 50th minute goal was from the assist of Mahrez, the former Leicester City footballer. The last goal right on the 59th minute of the game was given by Sterling from a through ball assist by Silva. The substituted player of the Wolves on the 66th minute of the game Deulofeu was the only scorer. He scored right after entering the playfield. But still, the Wolves were seemed to be far away from a win.
Raheem Sterling put efforts on every of his attempt. And overall, there were about 11 Off Target attempts on goal and 8 On Target attempts on goal by the “Blue city” where the Watford had 1 attempt both On and Off the Target on goal. The blue team took 9 corners and Watford only one. The wolves tried to take possession both of the ball. They were able to pull up a counter attack on Man City few times. The most possession of the ball seems to be going with the “Blue City” as the statistics shows it was 70%.
Seeing the crowd, everyone realized that it is a win game for the Man City. The hot topic is not the win. It was the bright shining night for Raheem Sterling as he scored a spectacular hat-trick within a time frame of 13-minutes. But still it was a must win game for the Man City if they want to retain the Premier League trophy.
