Lionel Messi, the key player of Argentina and spanish club Barcelona, is considered the best player on the planet. But what makes him the best player is for his devotion, hard work and passion for football. Even on 2017-18 season, he was the top scoring player on among the top 5 European league with 45 goals. At the end of 2017, Messi also extended his contract with Barcelona till 2020-21 where he will be paid which exceed 80 million. So, he is the most capable player within the world now both financially and on the scale of capability of playing Soccer. That is all external version which people see when they talk or think about Messi. Here, I am going to talk about some of the facts which you may don’t know or can’t even think. Well, lets begin.

Lionel Messi, an incredibly talented athlete who was considered by many to be the best football player right now and the greatest of all time. Lionel Messi was born on 24th June, 1987 in Rosario, Argentina. It was from his very early stage that he was gifted in football particularly. He made his professional debut with barcelona at the age of 17 at 2004. At 22 years old, he won his first Ballon d’Or. He also won the FIFA world player of the year by record voting margins. He is the only player to have won five Ballon d’Or Awards and he also has earned a record-tying for European Golden Shoes. Messi has also won eight La Liga titles, five Copa del Rey for UEFA champion league titles and a total of 29 trophies of Barcelona. He is also the Argentinas leading goal scorer.

On his childhood period, he had clear natural football ability but he also suffered from growth hormone deficiency which was discovered at the age of 11 of him. It also raised other complication on his body including taking injections on each leg over a period of 3 years. During this time he remembers being the smallest on the football field but he said that made him more agile and quicker.

The first contract of Lionel Messi was written on napkin when Messi was 13 years old. He had a trial with Barcelona and they wanted him to sign immediately. But there have some hesitation by the board of directors because it was not common to sign a player like Messi on that young age. Messi still remains as the third highest paid athlete in the world.

Another amazing thing is, his estate was built on the shape of a football pitch. Messi hired architect Louis Scott to design his estate to look like a football pitch. The house was named one zero eco house and it cost 7 million Euro or over 8 million dollars in U.S to design and build. The house is located outside the city of Barcelona and it overlooks the Catalan mountains. The mansion is in around football shape and is built on land shaped like a football field. From an aerial view, the house along with the number one shaped structure on the property and also make out his jersey number ten on shape.

One of the large company, Adidas, paid him the most out of all of their athlete ambassadors. Throughout his career, Messi has had lucrative endorsement deals with Adidas that also give him a say in football boot designs. In 2017, he signed a lifetime contract with Adidas. His previous seven year contract was worth a total of 140 million dollars or 20 million dollars a year. This makes him the highest paid Adidas athlete ambassador.

The other amazing fact of Messi is, he celebrates his goals with a tribute to his grandmother. She was the biggest supporter of Messi during his young age. From the age of four Messi, she accompanied him with all of the matches.  When Messi was at the age of 10, his grandmother died and Lio greatly affected by the death of his grandmother.
